Dig Out of Prison is an adventure puzzle game where you secretly dig tunnels under your cell and plan a clever escape without getting caught.

You start with almost nothing in your tiny prison cell, just a simple spoon that becomes your first digging tool. With patience and smart planning, that spoon turns into the key to your freedom.

The main gameplay revolves around lifting the carpet in your cell and digging underground tunnels to uncover hidden valuables buried in the dirt. These items can be placed on your bench and later sold to guards or traded with other inmates to earn toilet paper, which acts as the main currency in the prison. You use this currency to buy upgrades, improve your tools, and increase your digging speed so you can make progress faster.

You cannot dig carelessly, though. Guards patrol regularly, and before they enter your cell you must quickly hide all evidence by covering the hole with the carpet, flushing away loose dirt in the toilet, and hiding your spoon under the bed. If you get caught, you risk losing progress and facing punishment.

You also have to manage your energy carefully. Digging costs stamina, so you need to spend money to restore energy and sleep at night to move to the next day. Every action matters, and every mistake can slow down your escape plan. The deeper you dig, the more valuable items you discover, which helps you unlock better equipment and brings you closer to finally breaking out.
